A Voice That Stands Out
Tick Tock videos! Yes, I know I see a lot of eyes rolling when I say it, but hear me out for a moment. If you want to see what the younger generation is watching, TikTok is one of those social media platforms I was introduced to by my grandson three years ago. It's very addictive and hypnotizing; you find yourself scrolling through and watching numbing short videos that turn into side-splitting laughter and crazy content. One day, while scrolling through, I came across a young, very handsome man sitting inside his car with dark red leather seats. A sense of intimacy surrounded him as he spoke into the camera. "Just do it! Stop getting in your own way trying to make whatever you're doing perfect; just post it." His intense blue eyes and sweet smile were awe-inspiring. It felt as if he was talking directly to me. Something clicked inside me. A connection was made through social media. I thought, 'Here is someone trying to help others empower themselves to create a life they dream about .' We need more of this on the internet, more positive messages for all of us, not just the younger generation but the older ones as well. You could feel his authenticity and that he really believed in what he was saying. I came across several other videos featuring the same man due to algorithmic recommendations. It felt as if he was my personal coach. "Now go out there and get it." He'd say. It was so inspirational for myself and many others. There is a great deal of fear in our world today, fear of failure and fear of success. It keeps us locked up in our own fears.
Five stars from me for becoming a trendsetter and showing others that a young man can overcome all odds and make his dreams come true. The mood is uplifting, positive, silly, funny, and fun. Not all trendsetters are full of themselves. Some have big hearts to share with the world. Thank you!
