Obsession

My obsession is my soul's passion, leading me forward through the flames of past lives and old fears. Like a phoenix, I rise again and again from the ashes.
Brushing off anything that is not the TRUTH
The power of the connection stands and allows expansion, and through that, our souls enter and deeply penetrate a full embodiment to be present here on earth. Light is anchored and grounded here. Moment by moment, we create. We are meant to develop our expression here fully.

A Walk Through My Neighborhood

Helen put her colorful spring coat on with a pattern of flowers splashed on it, including tulips, daffodils, and Iris. She felt like a spring bouquet. When she wore it. Picking out pink walking shoes and a purse to match, she brushed her long white hair back into a bun and secured it. Looking outside her front window, she saw trees swaying to and fro, "hmm, this pink silk scarf will help to keep me warm," she said as she wrapped it around her neck. Helen took her keys in hand and walked out the front door, locking it, and went to the elevator. Once inside, she saw her friend Sally.
"Hi, going out for a walk today around the lake."
" Oh lovely, next time give me a call. I'd love to go with you."
The elevator door opened into the lobby of St. Paul Towers retirement home. The lobby had a dark maroon carpet and antique velvet chairs in dark forest green, which balanced out the room perfectly. In the center was a large marble table with fresh flowers.
" Going out?" a voice from behind the front desk called out.
"Yes, for a walk and maybe shopping. Be back by dinner."
The front glass door opened, and the doorman tipped his hat to her.
"Good morning, Mrs Maher. It's a lovely day for a walk."
"Yes, it is just lovely."
Across the street, Lake Merritt's water was a deep blue, and white ducks were swimming in it. It was picture-perfect.
Walking along the sidewalk by the lake, Helen saw that the trees were filled with blossoms and swayed when a breeze brushed the branches gently. She walked to the cafe on the water and sat inside. Slipping her lace gloves off, ordering tea and a blueberry scone. Memories floated by of sitting here as a young newlywed with her dashing husband sitting across from her, listening to every word. Taking a deep breath, she brushed the thoughts away with a strand of hair that had gotten loose. That was so long ago. A past chapter in her life.
An elderly man with white hair, dressed in a pinstripe grey suit with a small red orchid on the lapel, approached her and smiled.
"Can I take this as a positive sign?"
"You can. Please join me."
"As life moves on and many of us our age pass on, our circle becomes smaller and lonelier. Due diligence is needed to keep our lives full of zest and fun. Do you agree?"
"I do," Helen said shyly, looking downward. As her eyes moved upward again, they met Henry's. He reached out and held her hand softly.
“This is a beautiful morning, my dear, beautiful indeed. Would you do me the honor of becoming my wife? I have an estate here in Berkeley Hills, close to the Claremont Hotel. We could live there comfortably or sell it and live wherever you choose."
"Yes, Henry! Oh, yes!" A new chapter had begun.
