My obsession is my soul's passion, leading me forward through the flames of past lives and old fears. Like a phoenix, I rise again and again from the ashes.
Brushing off anything that is not the TRUTH
The power of the connection stands and allows expansion, and through that, our souls enter and deeply penetrate a full embodiment to be present here on earth. Light is anchored and grounded here. Moment by moment, we create. We are meant to develop our expression here fully.

Soul Reflection
Walking in the corridor maze of mirrors in this fun house on Earth, I search for your echo. I hear your voice calling on the solar winds that blow through me, awakening me from my slumber of fantasy, smoke, and mirrors. I choose to love—authentic soul love. Walking away from fantasies, I step into the light of my soul as the mirrors shatter around my feet. Find me. I will continue to shine. Find me. I stand here at the gate of my heart in the moment of now. We will connect again if the stars align. I walk through the illusions into a new reality of heart‑to‑heart connection. A new Earth is being created. I wait for you here as I continue to anchor light. © Mary Rossi • 4/27/25

Scene: From Behind the Wizard’s Curtain — The Redwoods Norse Gathering
Steve woke up early and made coffee. “Good morning.” He held out a cup of coffee to Hanna. “What time is it?” “Nine o’clock.” “Oh, wow. I slept really hard last night. It must have been the mead I drank. Thanks for the coffee.” “You spent a lot of time with that guy Peter last night.” Steve’s voice was carefully neutral, but his jaw was a little too tight. “Your point?” “I know we aren’t dating, but I thought since we are sharing a cabin for the weekend, you know…” He gestured vaguely between them. “No, I don’t know. Listen, Steve. We are friends, and I have learned a lot from you and continue to do so. But I am not interested, and I am sorry if I have misled you in some way. I told Peter last night that I am single and available.” “Well, I thought we would get together down the road.” “No, Steve. I told you I am not interested in you in that way at all.” “Hey, if I thought it would be a problem, I wouldn’t have come with you to this Norse thing. Listen, how much does the cabin and gas cost? I will pay you cash when I get to the bank on Monday. Gods and men are so, so dense sometimes.” Steve’s shoulders slumped slightly, a flicker of hurt crossing his face before he masked it with a dismissive wave. Hanna got up and walked past Steve. She went out to the gathering area around the food table. Hanna cheerfully greeted everyone. “Good morning, all. Men can be legends in their own minds. Am I right?” Four women stood there and said yes in unison, raising their cups in toast. Prudence walked over and said, “You know Steve is an honest man who can be trusted. He has a good heart and means well,” Prudence reassured Hanna, the other women nodding in agreement. “Yes, that’s why we are friends, but I don’t plan on having sex with him. Do you?” “Oh, hell no. I didn’t understand. I thought you guys were together. He led me to believe that you were his girlfriend,” one of the women exclaimed in surprise. “Shit! Well, that needs to be cleared up after everyone is awake. Gods, he pisses me off.” By late morning the games had begun, and awards were being given. Hanna watched the games and cheered people on. The archery was fun, watching how accurate they were from so far away. Throwing large stones for distance. Axe throwing at targets from different distances. It felt like a very rugged, lumberjack-type gathering. Hanna thought, I wonder how much was handed down from the Vikings? In the afternoon, Jill and Prudence announced they were going to some hidden swimming hole about an hour’s drive away. Hanna jumped in their Jeep, and Peter came with her. Another four came in a truck and followed them. Everyone else stayed behind at the campgrounds and relaxed. Hanna said, “Thank you for driving,” and handed Jill a twenty. “It’s fun not having to drive.” They arrived at a gate on a dirt road off the highway. Prudence got out and unlocked the gate as they drove through. They drove down the hot, dusty road until they could hear water. Jill parked and said, “We’re here!” They grabbed their towels and walked down to the water. It was beautiful. A small waterfall rushed into a large pond, which spilled over into a creek. They had their own private swimming pool. Peter stripped naked and jumped in. Prudence threw off her dress and jumped in. Hanna thought, What the hell? She stripped off her clothes and jumped in. The water was cold but refreshing. You could almost see the bottom of the pond. There were large boulders heated by the sun, and Hanna got out, took her towel to wrap around herself, and sat on one of the boulders. The others played around in the water, getting out and jumping off one of the boulders into the water. Hanna felt free and relaxed for the first time in months. They were just having fun. Peter stood over her, dripping water on her, and sat beside her. “Hi, Hanna. This is great. I am glad I decided to come along.” “I’m glad you did, too.” There was a palpable chemistry between them, a connection that felt like an electric current. Hanna, feeling the pull, extended her hand, and they found themselves palm to palm. Hanna said, “Do you feel that?” “Yeah, I do.” Sometimes, words cannot express the feeling of your heart expanding in your chest. The sun reflected off his golden skin, with water droplets slowly rolling off his beautifully sculpted body. Hanna thought, I bet Thor would look just like him. It’s like being with a god. I know no one is perfect. But this—this is a Kodak moment. Peter leaned over her, his hand resting on the small of her back, pulling her closer to his wet body. He asked, “Do you feel that?” Then he kissed her, a slow, deep kiss that sent shivers down Hanna’s spine. She wrapped both her arms around his neck, the towel slipping off her body, their wet skin pressing against each other. The moment was electric, charged with the thrill of the unexpected and the warmth of their shared passion. The world seemed to hold its breath around them, the only sound the faint rush of the waterfall. One of the guys yelled, “Hey, you guys, get a room! Come on, we came to swim!” Everyone else started splashing cold water on both of them. The timing was perfect. They both got up and jumped into the water, laughing. The afternoon gently slipped into the evening. They had to return to camp for dinner and leave first thing in the morning. As they drove back, tired from playing and swimming, Hanna dozed off in Peter’s arms. Peter asked, “Would you like to share my tent tonight?” “Not yet. But after this weekend I am open to seeing you again, if you like.” Hanna and Peter made plans to get together next weekend. Peter said, “It feels like I have always known you.” |
